The Jungheinrich electric pallet truck, type EJE225, is especially designed for the application requirements of particularly heavy loads up to 6000 lb. For lower pallet weights the EJE, as a result, provides very high capacity reserves especially for the intensive applications on ramps and in horizontal transportation.

Operator Area:

The low hinged handle, the enclosed design, safety and emergency off push buttons provide a maximum of safety for the operator.

Controls:

The multifunction handle head with progressive ergonomics provides optimum operator comfort and safety for the hands. All operator functions can be reached without change of grip. The operating push buttons for lifting/lowering are arranged on both sides.

Drive System:

Powerful 1.5 kW (1 hour rating) separately excited motor, vertical with high overload capacity and excellent efficiency. The two-stage gear unit operates at a particularly low noise level.

Brake System:

Electro-magnetic, disc brake acting directly on the motor shaft. For maneuvering in confined spaces with the handle in upright position, crawl speed may be activated. During this the brake is released automatically and travel is possible at reduced speed. Motor braking with energy reclamation in zero position of the drive switch. Automatic rollback protection on gradients. The drive control recognizes a roll back and automatically activates the brake.

Drive Wheel:

Vulkollan tires as standard, dia. 9.06″ x 2.76″ wide.

EJE225 State of the Art Technology and Efficiency

The EJE225 is designed for heavy duty applications where up to 6,000 lbs. of capacity is required. The unit has a special robust chassis with 0.31″ metal frame. As a result the EJE225 has a very high capacity, which is especially useful for intensive applications on ramps and in horizontal transportation.

Maintenance

The EJE225 has been designed to allow the serviceman direct and easy access for quick and efficient inspection. The lift cylinder, lift pump, the separately excited motor, and the controller, are mounted in the drive compartment. This provides maximum protection while allowing for easy accessibility under the one piece hood.

Multifunctional Handle

The EJE has been engineered under modern safety aspects to offer the maximum ergonomics for the operator. The multifunctional handle makes it possible to operate the truck without changing the grip. All control buttons are located in the upper part of the long handle and include:

• Two butterfly controls for finite control of travel speeds
• Push buttons for lifting and lowering with sensing control
• The “Belly Button” on top of the handle is a (safety reversing) switch which helps to reduce the chances of injury
• A “Deadman” braking system, stops the truck immediately if the handle is released.

Snail Button

The “snail” button is a bypass switch which will allow the truck to move at crawl speed when the handle is in an upright position. This increases the maneuverability, by decreasing the space needed to turn. The truck will only move at a crawl speed to guarantee the safety of the operator.
